'''Fairtrade''' (Rättvisemärkt) is an independent label that is used to demonstrate that products meet international Fairtrade standards. These criteria was developed by FLO, [[Fair Labelling Organization]] International and follows the standards of ILO conventions that have been established for human rights in society, economic development and improvements in environmental aspects. Fair Trade is the international name for Rättvisemärkt (Swedish). By choosing to purchase products that are labeled by Fairtrade you, as a consumer, help to improve working and living conditions for workers and farmers in developing countries. Among other things, you will also help to: Improving farmer and employees economic conditions, decrease child labor and discrimination. You will help improve democracy and the right to organize. Furthermore you will help communities develop socially and economically and that environmental friendly and ecological production is promoted. Today there are many products that bear the Fairtrade logo, including coffee, tea, sugar, juices and chocolate. The Fairtrade label has given farmers and workers in developing countries a chance to join the international market, which also leads to increased sales. The criteria for a product to be labeled with the Fairtrade logo includes requirements on how the wage level should be for employees and provide a guaranteed minimum price for products to be sold.
